Corteva Agriscience is searching for an exceptional studentto join our Summer Research Assistant team. The Research Assistantwill work as an integral part of a team committed to developing high yielding,disease resistant canola, corn and soybean varieties.

Whatyou will do :

  • Seed preparation, including filling envelopes and sorting into planting order
  • planting, spraying, and maintenance of research plots
  • Corn pollination
  • Data collection at yield sites, breeding, and disease nurseries
  • Equipment maintenance and repair as needed.
  • Qualifications

    Whatexpertise have you grown? What is required from you?

  • Applicants should be completing a Degree or Diploma in Agricultural Science or related field.
  • Successful candidate should be a fast learner, with a high aptitude for precision and accuracy
  • Must be highly motivated and well suited for work in both team orientated and independent situations
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout Manitoba and work overtime hours as necessary
  • Must be safety orientated
  • Experience with field equipment an asset but not required.
