POSITION SUMMARY

The Front-End-Developer contributes to the Services Teams' effort to fulfill client mandates. As a Marketing Automation Front-End-Developer, you are responsible for the development and delivery of emails and landing pages utilizing HTML, JavaScript, and CSS within Marketing Automation and CMS platforms according to each client brand guidelines.

You are accountable for analyzing client objectives, assessing potential options, and providing recommendations. You report to the Director of Professional Services and with minimal supervision, you develop, configure, and implement well-written, scalable web solutions to deliver a valuable and outstanding client experience.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Write well-designed, testable, efficient code using best practices for email and website development, including mobile and responsive design
  • Create emails, landing pages, and user interfaces, using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, while incorporating personalization and segmentations
  • Configure automated targeted marketing journeys and nurturing stages in major Marketing Automation platforms; develop segmentation, campaign flows, emails, landing pages, forms, data processors, etc.
  • Develop or validate testing schedules, addressing all browsers and devices to ensure content renders as intended across all major browsers and devices
  • Ensure code stability via regression, support quality assurance, and perform unit and user-acceptance testing to identify bugs and ensure production operations run successfully
  • Identify issues or trends with content or designs provided by the client, providing constructive feedback and potential solutions to the internal team that improve content experiences
  • Work promptly and diligently to complete edits requested by clients
  • Perform UI design and coding, creating reusable objects and templates, wireframes for email templates; manage maintenance, updates, expansions, and scaling of each design
  • Maintain asset library repository for code reuse and recovery
  • Build positive client and peer relationships by developing an understanding of customers' business and project objectives
  • Acquire an in-depth understanding of how major Marketing Automation platforms (Eloqua, Marketo, Pardot) function, store and render content, report on engagement
  • Maintain updated knowledge of new and emerging industry trends and technology
  • Work closely and effectively with MASS Engines' project management and consulting teams to plan and gather all necessary information to execute projects successfully
  • Other projects, assignments and tasks, as may be assigned
  • REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 1-3 years of email development experience in a collaborative environment using ESP platforms such as Eloqua, Marketo, Hubspot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot, Silverpop, SendGrid, etc.
  • 2-3 years of experience as a web developer
  • Experience with email automation, triggers, and deployment.
  • Strong working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
  • Experience with Email frameworks
  • Experience working with git version control
  • Experience and ability to communicate effectively with clients (face to face, over the phone, by email), and managing multiple projects
  • Familiarity with the development lifecycle (Business Process design, documentation, QA, testing strategy and execution, troubleshooting analysis)
  • Experience with scripting and database languages like SQL, Python (strong asset)
  • Experience in a B2B environment (an asset)
  • Experience with coding and development languages like C, C++, Java, C# (an asset)
  • EDUCATION

  • Minimum College Degree is required in either : Web Design, Multimedia Design, Marketing, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent training / experience
  • MA and / or CRM certification (considered an asset)

  • Professional services office environment
  • Using a computer keyboard, monitor, and mouse for extended periods of time
  • Travel within Canada and USA may be required for client-facing meetings : 5%
