Job Title- Biostatistician with SAS Programming II (9840661)

Location- Toronto, ON

Duration- 12 Months (Possible Extension)


Under the general direction of the Deputy Director of Biostatistics, the Statistical Analyst Contractor provides an analysis of data and improve / optimize the design and interpretation of processes and data analysis.

  • The key activity includes performing statistical analysis of data for method improvement or modifications of current tests, and validation / revalidation of new / current test methods, setting limits for reference standards and controls, setting product release and stability specifications, developing statistical analysis programs for trend analysis, stability or other statistical needs;
  • providing statistical analysis to address questions from regulatory agencies. Other activities include optimization of software / hardware for trend analysis and equipment validation;
  • performing statistical analysis of stability program results to identify changes in product stability trends, identification of OOT results.


    Experience in SAS statistical programming and interpretation of statistical results.

    Experience with other analytical tools (e.g. JMP, Matlab, R) and programming language would be a strong asset.

    Post-secondary training in biological science would be a strong asset.

    Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.

    Proven communication (written and oral) and effective interpersonal / customer interaction skills.

    Education & Experience-

    MSc in Statistics, preferably Biostatistics, with at least three years of previous relevant experience in the analysis of pre-clinical scientific laboratory data
