Working in a specializedOperational team, theBusiness Intelligence (BI) Developeris responsible for providing reporting and data management support to Mediabrandsclients.
In this role, you will be responsible for leveraging Mediabrands data and related third-party datasets and translating it into actionable business insights.
You will participate in all aspects of the development process from initial meetings with clients and internal teams, to gathering and processing data from various sources, to utilizing a suite of database and BI tools, including but not limited to Microsoft SQL Server stack, Datorama, Tableau, Adverity, andto finally building interactive dashboards.
Extract, transform and load media data from various sources into MS SQL database
Possess good knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services(SSIS)and useVisual Studio to create sophisticated ETL processes
Apply expert knowledge of MS SQL and best practicesto create and modify complex solutions utilizing Stored Procedures, Common Table Expressions (CTEs), user-defined functions, etc.
Utilize advanced level of expertise using Tableau Desktop to create interactive dashboards and visualizations, applying design best practices, including parameters, level of detail (LODs), analytical tools, etc.
Proficiently assess media data provided, to assure high quality and high usability
Collaborate with project management leads to complete tasks to spec and on schedule
Gather project requirements, and transform them into technical solutions and documentation
Confidently present Media Operations deliverables to client teams and clients
Use project tools like SharePoint and Asana to efficiently keep track of tasks, documents and communicate with project stakeholders
Initiate, develop and maintain excellent relationships with agency and SBU teams within Mediabrands Canada to drive strong client support and superior service
Desired Skills & Experience
Good understandingof SQL, data modeling, Extract Load & Transform (ETL) development, and data warehousing concepts
2-3 years of experience working in data analysis using SQL and visualization tools
Bachelor's degree with preference for Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
Data visualization experience, using tools like Tableau and Datorama
Ability to work and communicate effectively with developers and Business users
Strong verbal / written communication and data presentation skills.
Prior experience working with media data, business insights, programmatic media, ad serving platforms, media agencies, trading desks is an asset
