currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager. Reporting to the Vice President, Clinical Donation Services, the incumbent is responsible for supporting the management team in Clinical Donation Services with project management, business planning, and other key initiatives related to organ and tissue donation.
Additionally, the Project Manager prepares communication briefs and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
The Project Manager champions project delivery, governance and adoption of effective project management tools and methodology to ensure efficient, effective and successful project delivery. Duties & Responsibilities :
Collaborates with the Vice President and others to define projects and / or enhancements required and where appropriate develops implementation requirements.
Collaborates with clinical team to develop project plans and monitors project progress to ensure timely and effective project delivery.
Applies project management methodology as required.
Manages changes in project scope and develops contingency plans.
Works collaboratively with others to develop workable solutions to complex problems; utilizes creativity and facilitates group brainstorming to develop potential solutions / alternative projects.
Develops and delivers progress reports on identified projects.
Applies knowledge when providing strategic advice and ensures that project planning and management standards meet the business needs of stakeholders.
Develops briefing notes, presentations and other communications for moving initiatives forward with internal and / or external stakeholders.
Conducts appropriate research required for background information necessary to support effective communications / presentations.
Supports the work of the Donation Steering Committee, and others, ensuring meeting materials are prepared and sent out to committees in a timely manner.
Works with the Vice President, Clinical Donation Services to coordinate the clinical management team’s business planning meetings to ensure volume targets and plans for the following year are identified.
Works with the Directors to write the relevant sections of the business plan.
Documents team responsibilities for execution of the business plan ensuring appropriate follow-up.
Participates in operational and strategic planning initiatives, providing support and working with Directors / Managers to facilitate initiatives.
Performs other duties consistent with role profile, as required.
Qualifications & Experience :
Undergraduate degree with preference for science / health background.
Certificate in Project Management and / or Project Management Professional (PMP) designation preferred.
Master’s degree in health is an asset.
Background in organ and tissue donation an asset.
Six (6) years of experience in a health related environment or a combination of equivalent experience and education.
Proven experience with project management methodology.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organization and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated issues management and strategic orientation skills to link current actions to strategies or long-term perspective.
Demonstrated ability to interpret, analyze, create and apply concepts and approaches.
Adept with MS office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
