  • Job Description : The holder of this position performs mechanical adjustment work in-shop and on board ships. In addition, he / she : Reads and interprets plans, job cards, sketches and diagrams inherent to the job;
  • Positions, installs and adjusts, by mechanical-optical means, the different mechanical components that must be aligned and reset;
  • Dismantles, assembles and adjusts mechanical component parts;Performs drilling, boring, milling and facing work on portions of structures associated with adjustments, except in the machine tool department;
  • Smoothes away various plates according to specific tolerances;Performs various works that require the use of precision measurement instruments;
  • Uses all the tools required to carry out the work;Respects, according to Company quality standards, the procedural requirements set out to perform the job and report to the foreman anything that is not in line with the standards;
  • Performs any other related task requested by the supervisor. REQUIREMENTS : Hold a diploma of vocational studies (DVS) in heavy equipment mechanics or a diploma of college studies (DCS) in marine mechanics;
  • Experience in heavy mechanics (an asset).
