Postdoctoral positions are available in the ALS Neuroimaging Research Unit at the University of Alberta. The mission of the lab is to further our understanding of the biology of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) using advanced MRI methods.
The lab is directed by Dr. Sanjay Kalra, a neurologist and researcher, and the director of the Canadian ALS Neuroimaging Consortium (CALSNIC).
Areas of investigation include 1) Modeling of multimodal MRI data to quantify and characterize cerebral degeneration, 2) Development of novel image analysis methods as potential biomarkers, and 3) Ex-
vivo validation of MRI metrics.
