The Clinical Informatics Application Support Specialist provides focus to system integration and day-to-day operational support for the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and associated patient care systems that comprise STEGH’s Digital Health Strategy.

The position will utilize in-depth knowledge of Cerner Millennium and other clinical applications to provide system implementation and support activities including education, troubleshooting, escalation and remediation of issues.

Some of the primary responsibilities include :

  • Conducts project implementation activities in alignment with identified strategic priorities.
  • Works with user areas on workflow, system configuration, testing and training.
  • Works in collaboration with stakeholders to support successful adoption and sustainability of systems.
  • HOURS :

    This position must be available to work 37.50 hours per week. In addition, this position must be flexible to occasional changes in hours when required.


  • Regulated health professional, registered with the appropriate governing body or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience of clinical experience in a hospital setting, with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of clinical processes;
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ previous experience in clinical informatics in a hospital environment is preferred;
  • LEAN value stream mapping, LEAN yellow / green belt or process mapping course;
  • Knowledge of adult learning / teaching principles with ability to facilitate and lead training classes for end users;
  • Advanced working knowledge of Cerner Systems would be a definite asset;
  • Ability to liaise successfully between STEGH leadership, Physicians and end users including managing conflict and leading people through change;
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, ever changing environment;
  • Advanced Computer skills to include the regular use of Microsoft software applications, Cerner, and other Clinical applications.
  • Team and customer focused with the ability to communicate respectfully in a pleasant, flexible and professional manner with all patients, families, staff and volunteers;
  • Open to change and is proactive to departmental and organizational initiatives;
  • Demonstrated dependable and acceptable performance and attendance record

    Police Vulnerable Sector Search
