We are a growing company and this is an exciting time to join Pollard. This position is primarily focused on ensuring the safety and security of Pollard Banknote premises, company property, products and personnel though enforcing and establishing of policies and procedures.
The Security Manager is responsible for the direct supervision of the department’s day to day activities, managing workflow and guiding Security Officers to ensure effective and efficient operations.
In addition, will also oversee aspects of the physical security program at assigned Pollard Banknote facilities to ensure the consistent application of corporate security policies and practices are followed to ultimately protect Pollard Banknote’s reputation as a high security manufacturer.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Ensure the integrity and security of Pollard Banknote’s products and procedures, and protect company resources, assets and information by maintaining a safe and secure environment
Coordinate and administer overall activities related to safety & security; directly managing the security function & staff, incorporating concepts of safety, security, and customer service
Development and implementation of all security training; ensure all staff are trained in appropriate security policies and emergency procedures
Oversee and or conduct investigations, including report writing and external and internal audits; missing tickets, policy violations, parking lot incidents, employee complaints, alarm incidents, lost and found etc.
Manage the inspection and testing of Security and Safety systems and other security related auditing, by scheduling and ensuring completion and documentation on an annual, monthly, weekly basis
Acts as a backup for the Security Director in the Disaster Recovery Plan in scenarios involving other Pollard Banknote locations
High School Diploma and related experience in security, policing or loss prevention required
University Degree in Criminology or studies in justice and law enforcement preferred
Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Specialist (PSS), or Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) Certifications individually or in combination are assets to the position
Demonstrated strong security system management skills (i.e. : administrator access to CCTV, Access, Intrusion alarm operating system)
First aid / CPR Certificate
Prior experience as a supervisor or investigator
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
Holds a valid passport for international travel to other Pollard Banknote locations
Able to endure extended periods of walking, standing and sitting, and able to concentrate for long periods of time in front of a computer
