Trans Mountain Corporation operates Canada’s only pipeline system transporting crude oil and refined products to the West Coast.
We deliver nearly 300,000 barrels of crude oil and refined products each day through 1,274 kilometers of pipeline in Alberta, British Columbia and Washington State.
The Trans Mountain Expansion Project will provide increased capacity to support Canadian crude oil production growth and ensure access to global energy markets.
The largest project in our history, it involves the installation of approximately 980 km of new pipeline, new and modified facilities including pump stations and terminals, and a new dock complex at the Westridge Marine Terminal in British Columbia.
As a federal Crown corporation, the newly formed Trans Mountain Corporation will continue to build upon our 65 years of experience delivering operational and safety excellence through our crude oil pipeline system.
We are accountable to Parliament through the Canada Development Investment Corporation (CDEV). As a wholly-owned subsidiary of CDEV, we are governed by an independent Board of Directors.

The goal of the Trans Mountain Expansion Project (TMEP) full compliance with its regulatory, internal systems and commitments obligations throughout the project.
The Project Compliance Auditor will support the Project team in reviews and audits of compliance systems for the TMEP. This includes leading audits of field execution compliance for contractors and TMEP environmental inspection programs.
The Project Compliance auditor will be part of the Project Compliance Team dedicated to elevating the quality assurance aspect of compliance for the project.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Be the leading expert on the Trans Mountain corporate management system and project Quality Assurance Program (QAP).
Lead all compliance auditing planning and execution as required.
Oversee compliance audit reporting and ensure key stakeholders are aware of the closure requirements.
Support development of appropriate Corrective Actions and Preventative Actions (CAPAs).
Oversee and validate compliance assurance activities are implemented as per the plan.
Facilitate development of procedures, training and tools in response to key audit findings to ensure learnings are captured and addressed.
Work with project leads to ensure execution plans are compliant.
Pull compliance findings data and review for trends to compile and communicate learnings.
Use your audit skills and experience to support development of strong, effective and clear compliance process for the project.
Minimum of 10 years experience in auditing management systems and / or s compliance audit with a pipeline company, oil and gas producer or EPC projects.
Degree in environmental sciences or engineering or equivalent training and experience.
ISO or equivalent training / certification is considered an asset.
Auditing training / certifications considered an asset.
Extensive knowledge of management systems and compliance processes in the oil and gas industry.
Strong understanding of broad corporate compliance issues
Experience with NEB or other regulators compliance expectations is an asset.
Progressive experience liaising with a large project team to maintain a coordinated approach to compliance.
Experience leading audit teams and programs for office and field verification.
Familiarity with relevant Canadian and International codes and standards.
Experienced in compliance and assurance activities for major projects.
Experience with field compliance audits on contractors and construction activity.
Have a big picture understanding of compliance risks, needs and tools for major projects.
Have an integrated view of compliance that results in an approach that adds value to the project team and helps the team maintain compliance.
Must have a solutions oriented approach to challenges.
Must have strong project management approach understand project management principles.
Ability to develop a strong, positive working relationship with the TMEP team to ensure alignment in delivering on project objectives and meeting expectations.
