What we are looking for : We are looking for a talented Software Development Manager with a strong technical background and solid people management skills to build, manage and develop a highly-talented engineering team.

We are seeking leaders that can guide technical and product innovation in the areas of voice and visual experiences, machine learning models and the distributed systems to bring our vision together.

Strong judgment and communication skills, long term technical vision, and continuous focus on engineering and operational excellence are essential for the success in this role.

We are also interested in candidates who look not just at technology, but the people who are building it. We want candidates who understand that long term success requires growing the team in both technical and soft skills.

The VCS Strategy team is global in nature and responsible for expanding virtual customer service teams, and helping established programs overcome global and local challenges to working in large, geographically dispersed, virtual teams.

As a seasoned Software Development Manager, you will use your skills driving efficiency in the design and delivery of new technical solutions that impact virtual teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years software development experience
  • 3+ years experience managing a team software engineers
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience writing software in at least one modern programming language such as Java, C, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to a wide variety of audiences
  • Knowledge of full life-cycle software engineering practices including coding standards, testing, source control management, and operations
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong and creative problem solving abilities
  • Knowledge and experience with cryptography and computer security
  • Post-graduate degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Demonstrated ability to take a project or significant feature from concept to launch
  • Experience in modifying team processes to create a more inclusive environment.
  • Distributed systems experience
