The Sandman Hotel Group UK opened the 218-bedroom Sandman Signature Aberdeen Hotel in the summer of 2018, it has quickly established itself amongst Aberdeen's finest 4-star properties.
We are currently looking for a Rooms Division Manager to lead, control and supervise the Front Desk, Guest Service and Housekeeping departments.
The ideal candidate should have good experience in 3 to 4 star properties with the emphasis on Front Desk.
Key responsibilities of the role include :
Take a lead role in setting a "guest focused" environment.
Train, coach and inspire employees.
Plan and organise work rotas.
Ensure quality standards are met in all areas of the business.
Knowledge and experience in financial management and control processes.
Assist with the revenue management aspect of the business.
Play a role in the Human Resources department with employee selection and retention.
Ensure a safe and secure environment for employees and guests including organizing fire training and other health & safety responsibilities.
Involvement in the activities of the Sales Department, including participating in the weekly sales & revenue meeting.
Reception-based duty management shifts.
Above all this position requires a leader who has the ability to be visible in the daily operations and someone who will lead by example.
The role will involve reception shifts including weekends so flexibility is essential.
Preferred Education and Qualifications :
Preferably a minimum of 2 years management experience.
Strong communicator, excellent verbal and written communication.
Knowledge of yield / revenue management techniques.
Must be detail oriented.
Must possess the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Positive attitude, strong leadership qualities.
Strengths must include teaching / coaching / mentoring abilities.
Proven track record of success in the hospitality industry.
