What will you do ?
A customer facing role providing technical and customer service support for prepared media, all laboratory reagents and equipment product range distributed, sold and supported by Thermo Fisher Scientific, Microbiology Division within Canada.
Key Responsibilities :
Ensure maximum customer satisfaction by resolving customer concerns in the most timely and efficient manner possible.
Work with Quality group and communicate the final resolution of all product issues to the Customers, Field / Internal Sales Representative(s), and internal personnel, as required.
Receive and process customer calls and emails, providing technical assistance for products distributed on manufactured on site for prepared microbiological medias and third party laboratory products
Record daily calls and all appropriate information as per departmental standard operating procedures.
Be a subject matter expert for our products in Canada.
Work to assist in the development of standard work.
Apply and use of Lean Manufacturing principles in the development of standard work.
Notify customers of Quality Systems field notifications.
Interface frequently with other departments to provide seamless support to customers and the field sales organization.
Provide technical support for Order Entry, Customer Service and other Thermo Fisher Scientific personnel regarding product inquiries, availability and catalog numbers.
How will you get there?
Possess diploma / degree in Medical Technology, Microbiology or similar clinical laboratory science.
Must be fluently bilingual written / spoken in French and English
Experience in Direct Customer Service role an asset.
Experience specializing in the area of Molecular Microbiology in a clinical and / or food safety laboratory, including RT-PCR, is a plus.
Possess experience in the area of clinical laboratory science, medical technology particularly in microbiology.
Possess excellent oral and written communication, and problem-solving skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook and Excel.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
