Bring a think big product vision to re-imagine what identity and access management means at cloud scale, and be able to influence hundreds of AWS services and millions of AWS customers to get behind that vision.
Have the ability to provide hands-on technical leadership to drive the execution of that vision to delivery, owning teams that design, build, and operate some of the highest-scale services on the internet.
Be a genuinely inclusive leader, with an enthusiasm for building and leading a diverse team spanning multiple development sites spanning the globe (Seattle, WA;
Herndon, VA; Arlington, VA; Vancouver, Canada; Toronto, Canada; Berlin, Germany).
Rise to the challenge of owning and operating a service that is mission critical to the call path of all AWS API calls worldwide.
Experience working directly with customers in both engineering and C-suite level discussions.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
Extensive years of industry experience growing and managing diverse and deeply talented software development teams
Several years of experience managing managers & leaders within development teams
Proven track record of high-scale hiring and talent management (not dotted line) on teams of multiple disciplines / job families (such as development, operations, testing, and / or product management)
Proven ability to dive deep into software and systems architecture
Many years of interacting regularly and directly with senior executives
Experience building scalable infrastructure software or distributed systems
Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
Strong systems operations skills
Strong performance engineering fundamentals
Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals
Experience leading teams that participate in, and influence, open standards work (e.g. OpenID Connect, SAML, FIDO Alliance, etc.)
Experience owning the P&L for a high-growth technology business
