You will be part of the M&P Engineering team that supports production activities of the Saint-Laurent manufacturing center.
You will work in a dynamic environment, as part of an integrated product development team (IPDT), where you will put in place optimal solutions for major aircraft structure.
In your role, you will :
Assist other engineering, quality, methods and production teams by providing answers to any question related to Materials & Processes.
Execute various engineering tasks like the evaluation of different metallic materials, their processes and limitations.
Review and sign engineering drawings in order to certify that design is meeting Materials & Processes requirement.
Prepare various test plans, analyze results and write certification reports.
Participate to various R&D projects in order to improve environmental footprint of Bombardier Aviation.
Revise all technical delivery coming from suppliers in relation with Materials & Processes.
As our ideal candidate,
You have a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical or Material Engineering, or equivalent.
You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
You have a good knowledge of metallic materials used in the aerospace industry like aluminum, steel and titanium including knowledge of their corrosion behaviors.
You are familiar with aerospace and military specifications like SAE, AMS, MIL, etc.
You know different manufacturing processes like Heat Treatment, Shot Peening and Surface Treatment of aluminum.
You are autonomous, you like to take initiative and have a good judgment
You are familiar with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
You are bilingual (French & English).
You are familiar with Catia V5.
You know the environmental norms (REACH).
