Job Summary :

Enter all sales transactions in the point-of-sale terminal, in accordance with established policy. Record sales transactions, answer and forward phone calls and provide customer service.

  • Main Responsibilities are :

  • Greet customers and direct them toward appropriate sales staff
  • Process all sales transactions, receive payments and obtain the necessary authorizations for purchases made by cheque or credit card
  • Assume responsibility for the entry of all transactions in the point-of-sale system
  • Remove anti-theft tags, wrap merchandise and check size of articles
  • Answer and forward telephone calls and follow-up with customers
  • Qualifications :

  • 1 year’s experience in a cashier’s position
  • Experience in retail environment an asset
  • Basic math skills
