About the Role :
Manage and monitor the work in progress on a daily basis in order to meet delivery commitments.
Assign tasks to technicians based on their knowledge and skills.
Manage work schedules.
Ensure proper completion and processing of timesheets.
Ensure the preparation of equipment in compliance with the sales contract.
Develop workshop procedures in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Manage recruitment and performance appraisal of technicians, as well as their training requirements, in accordance with policies and procedures.
Take part in the preparation of workshop budget.
Approve all purchase orders for the workshop.
Take part in opening and closing work orders as required.
Maintain level of work in progress (WIP) according to Company criteria.
Prepare and submit warranty claims in a timely manner.
Assist with Parts and Service quotes.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, policies and procedures.
Take all appropriate actions to prevent hazardous situations and implement corrective measures.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Operations Manager.
Certified Journeyman Heavy Equipment (Interprovincial Red Seal preferred) with at least 3 to 5 years of experience as Supervisor.
Experience working with Komatsu products is an asset.
Advanced knowledge of construction and forestry equipment is a definite asset.
Skillful at building strong relationships.

motivate, support and inspire direct reports; build strong, cohesive teams.
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Excel and Outlook.
