HUMAN RESOURCES ANALYST

Reporting to the Manager, HR Systems, Compensation & Benefits, the HR Analyst will collect, compile and analyze data for various ad hoc and regular reports, assist in the forecasting and budgeting process, and assist with year-end compensation activities.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Plan, communicate and roll-out of the annual performance, merit and bonus programs.
  • Develop and monitor the Canadian and US benefits budgets and report on plan performance at minimum on a quarterly basis.
  • Participate in the annual review and costing of Canadian and US benefits programs.
  • Research and analyze the impact of policy and legislative changes on the organization and provide options for consideration.
  • Assist with testing, analysis and implementation of new Human Resources systems.
  • Benchmark, research, analyze and advise on the impact of changes to compensation and benefits policies to ensure consistency throughout the organization and to ensure market competitiveness
  • Complete the monthly collection, analysis, and reporting of data and metrics ie) turnover, retention, internal promotions, productivity and headcount based on Corporate Human Resources KPI's
  • Support compensation activities, such as job evaluations, compensation reviews, collection of data, analysis of information and creation of reports that support business needs
  • Develop dashboards and presentations as required such as, but not limited to : Kronos, EDW, ADP
  • Support analysis of employee engagement surveys
  • Will ensure the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of reports and data through rigorous testing and accurate and reliable data
  • Sets the standard for continuous improvement through measurement tools, analytics and scorecards.
  • Formulates recommendations to close gaps based on statistical data and research. Prepares presentations and reports for management, providing detailed analysis of conclusions.
  • Perform ongoing reconciliations and audits of HR and payroll data and processes to ensure data integrity and consistency;
  • adherence to internal audit processes as well as corporate and HR policies.

  • Collaborate across the organization and demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to think 'outside the box'
  • Developing and documenting compensation related policies and procedures, as well as compensation training materials for HR and all levels of management
  • Provides input into required Master Data sets to drive insightful analytics
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary education, preferably in HR
  • 2-3 years' experience with HR reporting, analysis and dashboards creation / optimization
  • Demonstrated experience and ability working with complex information as related to analysis, problem solving, and reasoning
  • Minimum 1 year experience benchmarking Human Resource policies and compensation programs
  • High attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel skills is required (Pivot Tables, VLookups, etc)
  • Inherent understanding of need for confidentiality
  • A natural team player with ability to clearly communicate
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Have a continuous improvement mindset, with proven experience streamlining processes
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills - both written and verbal

    While head Office is located at 2531 Stanfield Road, we will be locating temporarily to 191 The West Mall, during renovations, for a period of 7 to 8 months.
