Reporting to the Manager with professional and clinical support from the Manager, Pain Program, and working without general supervision within an inter-professional, chronic disease management framework, the Occupational Therapist-Pain Program, with the Pain Program inter-disciplinary team, assesses, plans, implements plans and evaluates plans for patients / clients with chronic pain.
Responsible for planning and implementing patient education materials and sessions, referral to community resources, and setting up ongoing self-management and rehabilitation plans for patients / clients.
Education, Training And Experience
Graduate of a recognized Occupational Therapy Degree program from a recognized university.
Two years recent, related experience in tertiary level care chronic pain management / rehabilitation or an combination of education, training and experience.
