Responsibilities

  • Interact with clients and handle correspondence
  • Confident and credible in both client and staff interactions
  • Develop an understanding of client businesses and diagnose needs / opportunities and suggest solutions
  • Assume ownership of client files and proactively ensure files are completed in an efficient and effective manner
  • Written communication skills required for memos, management letters and financial statement notes
  • Ensure all client issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Keep abreast of competition’s offerings
  • Actively promote new service capabilities to clients
  • Prepare engagement budgets, analyze fieldwork time vs budget, and identify opportunities for additional billing
  • Perform detailed review of own work as well as that of junior team members
  • Ensure effective utilization rate of team members
  • Share and transfer knowledge with team members, mentor staff and promote positive morale
  • Supervise small teams of professionals and technicians, and manage workflow
  • In-depth knowledge of ASPE and IFRS
  • Working knowledge of corporate and personal taxation
  • Ability to complete assurance files with minimal supervision
