This position will report to the Machine / Prep Shop Foreman.

What you will do :

  • Promote and enforce workplace safety
  • Maximize productivity
  • Maximize product quality
  • Ensure exceptional customer service is provided
  • Provide effective leadership
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Operate and use various machines including lathes, mills, drills, saws, machining centres; both manual and CNC
  • Your qualifications :

  • A minimum of 10 years of related machining experience
  • A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
  • Experience programming and operating Mazak machines
  • Experience with programming in G-code, Okuma, Mazatrol
  • Alberta Journeyman Machinist ticket or Red Seal Certification
  • What you bring to the position :

  • In-depth knowledge of all tools and equipment in steel machining operations
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing industry (not oilfield related), our Company, products and services
  • Ability to setup and operate various machines
  • Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others
  • Time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent safety record
