Natural Specialty Sales Canada is a consumer products management organization, providing strategic operations and sales execution services to consumer brand companies competing in Canada.

Our focus is on Natural / Organic product lines, both Food & Beverages as well as Health, Beauty and Wellness products.We have an exciting opportunity on our Sales Team for an ACCOUNT MANAGER to be located in Ottawa Ontario.

Using superior sales skills to address and fulfill customer needs, this position will be responsible for managing the NSS business within an assigned territory.

The major focus will be on Key Natural Food retailers.Territory Management :

  • Maintain an appropriate coverage discipline to ensure that plans are achieved
  • Achieve new product distribution goals, and 100% authorized distribution levels
  • Sell displays against all customer programs and brand promotions
  • Accurately report in-store results through the computer tools and processes provided
  • Monitor and report competitive activity
  • Business Planning :

  • Understand and execute business plans and merchandising activities for each customer
  • Sustain comprehensive knowledge of products features and benefits
  • Manage key independent retailer volume & trade spend / yearly promotional plans
  • Customer Development :

  • Use your consultative and selling skills in order to impact immediate wins as well as long-term customer partnerships with our Retail Customers
  • Develop key relationships with our supplier’s distributor partners
  • Work closely with our supplier representatives
  • Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications / experience :
  • 3-5 years of related experience required - Consumer Packaged Products / Distributor Rep. / Natural Foods Retail
  • Natural Foods or HABA background preferred
  • Proven ability to build business relationships, develop business solutions
  • Knowledge and understanding of account planning processes
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Team oriented
  • Effective communication and time management skills
  • Some overnight travel required for territory coverage and trade shows
