The Sales Representative will develop the full sales potential of the heavy equipment market to increase the share of SMS Equipment.
He / She will promote, sell and rent the various product lines distributed by SMS Equipment for the construction, mining and forestry industries.
Maximize revenue and profits within the assigned territory.
Represent SMS Equipment and conduct business transactions on their behalf.
Study the market situation, set goals and objectives, plan prospecting activities accordingly.
Prepare daily and weekly report on sales activities.
Determine the requirements of new and existing customer, assess their equipment, and recommend the proper equipment needed to meet their expectations.
Prepare business proposals and have them approved by the General Manager
Ensure that the customer receives proper and adequate information on the operation and maintenance of the product purchased.
Inform the clientele of price, terms and conditions, warrantees, delivery date and credit options.
Perform any other tasks assigned by General Manager.
Eager to succeed and very energetic, the successful candidate will meet the following requirements :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred, but not required.
Well versed in construction and forestry equipment. Having a broad understanding of equipment operations and function is a definite asset.
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of successful external selling experience.
Skillful at building strong relationships.
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Excel and Outlook.
A valid driver’s license.
Must be available to travel.
