What is the opportunity?

The mandate of this role is to maintain end to end environment for Darwin application and be point of contact between IT and business management for organizing events such as releases, upgrades, deployments, scheduled downtime, user communication, automation and setting up monitoring.

Candidate would be coordinating with upstream and downstream systems support, process monitoring, working on releases, liaison with the business users and work towards minimising the adverse impact of application outages / Incidents.

What will you do?

  • You will act as a point of contact between IT and business management for organizing events such as upgrades and scheduled downtime
  • Candidate will be responsible to maintain prod parallel release calendar on daily basis and highlighting conflicting changes including weekend testing requirements which cannot be merged to all stakeholders
  • Candidate will be responsible for tracking, managing and reporting on prod parallel release execution status / progress against program release goals
  • Candidate will be responsible for providing release and testing assistance for production or non-production releases, hot fixes and or environment improvements
  • Collaborate with developer team, project managers and business support / analyst to ensure issues and risk are identified, logged and resolved and also accountable to drive software releases.
  • Technical prod parallel environment validation and configuration (e.g. connectivity with upstream / downstream systems, validation of data state, running of various deployment manifest process)
  • Day to day management of prod parallel environment readiness, health-check and make decisions related to scheduling, usage and maintenance
  • Liaise with internal development teams and external vendors to resolve support issues for applications.
  • Provide regular updates and status to all stakeholders on open issues.
  • Ensures systems delivered to production environments meet enterprise quality requirements. Facilitate rollout of software components in production.
  • Pro-actively prepare for planned maintenance over weekends, DR exercise and all major roll-outs.
  • What do you need to succeed?

    Must Have

  • 10+ years of experience in IT. Good knowledge of Capital Markets.
  • Prior experience in implementing and supporting large-scale production systems and experience of working with Global Support team with onsite offshore model.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of fixed income products, including but not limited to, bonds, swaps, futures, options and money market.
  • Create and maintain documentation for applications.
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income trading activities (Pricing, contributions & STP), market data feeds and knowledge of applications such as CanDeal, Marketwire, Bloomberg TOMS and other rates risk systems is highly desirable
  • Good Knowledge of Job scheduler / monitoring tools (ITRS Geneos, CTRL-M etc.).
  • Excellent Scripting knowledge( Python, Perl) & Reporting tools(Tableau)
  • Good knowledge of Unix / Linux environment
  • Hand-on experience to support MQ, EMS, SOLACE and RV / RMDS
  • Role involves regular escalation and coordination activities over evenings and weekends
  • Knowledge of Murex system and production environment management is preferred
  • Some knowledge of Flow Derivative Products
  • Ability to work with business users.
  • Previous experience in Financial Industry is desired.
  • Nice to Have

  • Understanding of ITIL processes.
  • Exposure to e-commerce trading systems understanding of pricing issues, integration of clients
