Location : Calgary, Alberta

Length of Term : 8, 12, or 16 months

  • Husky’s Co-op positions are based in Calgary and various field locations. The responsibilities of the Co-op position will vary depending on the business unit and work location.

    As the COVID-19 situation continues to rapidly evolve, there is the potential for the Co-op Student to work remotely for a duration of the work term.

    Qualifications

  • Experienced in Microsoft Windows and Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
  • Experience with Data Management would be considered an asset
  • Proficiency in at least one back-end or front-end language like C#, Java, PHP HTML5 / CSS3 / JavaScript / jQuery or similar is an asset
  • Experience in R Language, Python, Spotfire, Knime, Alteryx is an asset
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to set priorities, follow-up and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in agile project delivery is an asset
  • Oil and Gas experience would be an asset
  • Education & Professional Designations

  • Must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary Co-op or Internship program
  • Must receive Co-op credit for the duration of the work term
  • Strong academic background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering
  • Preference will be given to students in 3rd or 4th year

    Relocation

    Students moving for their work term may be eligible to receive a lump sum payment to assist with relocation expenses.

    Candidates must have their own means of transportation as there is no public transportation in field locations.
