Reporting to the Head of Corporate FP&A and GTS Finance, this role is responsible for providing financial planning & analysis support to Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) group, in addition, performing core monthly Global Technology Services (GTS) accounting, management analysis and corporate FP&A responsibilities.
This role is expected to be resourceful in leveraging peer support in order to deliver superior results.
Decision Support & Analysis
Prepare analysis that includes the review of business metrics, assumptions and trends
Assist GTS business case development, modelling / tracking, and post-mortem analysis
Perform financial analysis and provide recommendations regarding equipment financing decision (lease vs buy)
Assist in the annual shared service cost allocation process, including key linkages between the GTS team and their SMEs and the corporate cost allocation process
Project and capital spending updates and analysis
Assist in identifying risks and opportunities for the business.
Planning and Forecasting
Assist in the budgeting and forecasting deliverables and predictive analysis, including iterative review with various subject matter experts (SMEs), headcount planning & validation, and bottom-up infrastructure budgeting
Perform financial modelling for the strategic planning process
Results analysis and reporting
Prepare insightful variance analysis for operating expenses, including detailed understanding of variances to budget, forecast, and prior year
Prepare key management reporting for the business leadership team
Analysis and input into the corporate monthly management reporting package
Monthly Accounting and Reporting
Prepare journal entries for, analyze and reconcile major Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis and ensure any reconciling items are dealt with in a reasonable manner and time frame
Work with the Finance Operations team to ensure accounting treatment of transactions is accurate and complete in the general ledger
Ensuring all financial information that populates financial statements is accurate and complete including month-end and quarter-end analysis
Identification, data collection and processing of key accruals necessary to ensure completeness of liabilities and expenses
Ensure fixed asset acquisitions are recorded in compliance with approved policies and thresholds
Provide information as required for the notes to the financial statements on a quarterly and annual basis
Maintain various continuity schedules for financial reporting and analysis
Ad-hoc cost savings analysis & tracking
Assist the Manager GTS Finance and Head of Corp FP&A and GTS Finance

5 to 7 years of financial analysis experience preferably in financial services
University graduate plus a CPA or MBA is required
Strong financial analysis skills, ability to undertake research
Superior technical skills, including Excel (pivot tables, model building, model auditing) and performance management systems
Demonstrate complex problem-solving experience with a diverse set of input for problems that may not be clearly defined or in ambiguous situations
Results-oriented and the ability to work under tight deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
