The Corporate Services Division of Highways and Public Works provides critical central agency services to government and direct services to the department itself.
We provide risk management, procurement, surplus asset disposal, mail delivery, insurance, travel and fleet vehicle services to Yukon government departments.
We also provide policy, communications, and finance services to the Department of Highways and Public Works. Our division employs analysts, procurement specialists, fleet, travel and mail service specialists, accountants and many other professionals.

The Fleet Vehicle Agency (FVA) is a special operating agency of the Department of Highways and Public Works. Its mission is to help government departments and publically funded agencies meet their objectives by procuring and managing efficient and affordable ground transportation services.
The Service Writer position is primarily responsible for scheduling and coordinating the repair and maintenance of the Fleet Vehicle Agency vehicles to ensure the timely availability of well-maintained fleet vehicles for the agency’s clients.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Suitability
Candidates should have and may be assessed on their :
Conditions of Employment : Valid Yukon Class 5 Driver’s Licence. A valid Yukon Class 2 Driver’s License to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
Job Requirements : Ability to lift heavy objects, wear personal protective equipment and willingness to work in adverse weather conditions.
