ABOUT THE ROLE
The Business Process & Systems Quality Assurance Analyst functions as a key member of the Systems Design Team in the Bayshore Specialty Rx Pharma division.
The role of the Business Process & Systems Quality Assurance Analyst is to design, develop and execute custom test scripts for Business Systems monthly enhancements and project-based implementations.
Quality Assurance Testing must ensure all releases are free of defect, aligned with business processes, and rigorously documented.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
Analyze Business Requirements and Data
Estimate Quality Assurance needs and plan execution
Create test plans, test cases and traceability matrices
Design and run manual or automated test scripts using unit, regression, load, and acceptance testing methods
Perform defect tracking and management using various applications / tools as needed
Analyze formal test results to discover and report on defects, interoperability or configuration issues, and recommend solutions
Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to all stakeholders
Assist in the development of change control processes, practices, and guidelines for new and existing technologies
Participate in developing, distributing, and coordinating in-depth end-user reviews for modified and new systems or applications
Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of quality assurance best practices
Collaborate with personnel in the Business Operations and Information Technology teams to carry out all duties
Follow best practice quality assurance standards and processes
Complete other tasks as requested
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
3-5 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst for Business Processes & Systems
Experience conducting Quality Assurance Testing for Business Systems that are Built as scalable and customizable client / server or browser-based applications Built on Microsoft platforms, such as .
NET (C#, F# or VB), SQL Server, BizTalk, etc. Integrated with In-house and third-party APIs, Web Services, SFTP Servers Integrated with peripherals such as Printers, Document Scanners, Barcode Scanners Compatible with communication services including SMS, Email, Voice, Fax Compatible with multiple data exchange formats including XML, Excel, csv, text
Experience conducting Quality Assurance Testing using Automated testing tools Ad-hoc query programs Reporting tools such as Excel Power Query or Power BI
Experience importing data for use in report systems, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts.
Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities
In-depth understanding of functional and non-functional testing concepts
Understanding of systems design best practices and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
Excellent MS Office skills and General PC skills
