Job Description

WB Games Montréal is looking for a Financial Analyst to join its Finance team. The Financial Analyst will act as a partner and resource for the heads of their assigned departments.

They will help prepare development project budgets, the annual operating budget, monthly forecasts, month-end closing activities, income tax credit claims and financial reports.

They will, among other things, be responsible for tracking budgets, entering and validating data, preparing variance reports and analyses.

They will also support the Finance team’s operational activities, which include invoice coding, creating purchase orders and other related services.

Job responsibilities :

  • Act as a business partner and contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Model, analyze, interpret and present financial information.
  • Identify and implement improvements to models, processes and work methods.
  • Take part in a broad range of activities tied to the preparation and submission of annual operating budgets and monthly forecasts.
  • Help with month-end activities, including adjustment entries, cost allocation, as well as updating the plans on fees paid in advance and amortization plans.
  • Prepare the supporting plans and documents for government subsidies, tax credits and government audits.
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses, reports and special projects.
  • Provide operational support, including invoice coding, requesting purchase orders and other related services.
  • JOB QUALIFICATION STANDARDS :

    Work experience

  • At least three years of experience.
  • Education, professional training, technical training or certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a specialization in finance or accounting.
  • CPA certification (obtained or in the process of obtaining)
  • Knowledge / skills

  • Curious, motivated and willing to make a difference.
  • General knowledge of accounting principles.
  • High-level proficiency with Excel.
  • Focused on processes and always looking to improve operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Knowledge of Power BI and Power Query (an asset).
  • Knowledge of SAP (an asset).
  • Interested in the video game industry (an asset).
  • And any other assigned tasks.
