Position Overview :

The Agency Lead E-commerce oversees and executes our short and long-range objectives, budgets and operating plans within GroupM Digital.

This individual is responsible for senior level decision-making as well as day-to-day management of teams in Search and Social.

They will be an effective collaborator as they work amongst cross functional teams and Senior Leadership.

  • Key Accountabilities :

  • Lead the eCommerce Practice in Canada and ensure ongoing excellence from strategic and tactical angles
  • Be the eCommerce expert for agency & clients with a clear understanding of the entire eCommerce ecosystem
  • Drive integration of eCommerce media throughout the activation teams
  • Work with clients to uncover business needs and objectives, build appropriate paid search and eCommerce strategies and identify / implement services to help achieve client goals
  • Demonstrate thought leadership for clients and the industry
  • Oversee Wavemaker’s Search and Social teams and be the lead GroupM contact within the agency
  • Collaborate with client teams and agency partners to ensure client goals are met
  • Create new revenue streams by expanding on our ecommerce product offerings
  • Identifying opportunities to upsell / cross-sell of GroupM Digital Services, including SEO and Content
  • Main point of contact for all eCommerce GroupM Partners in Canada
  • Collaborate (regionally / globally) to develop best practices for the specific discipline
  • Lead and develop a culture of digital thinking across the entire organization with a focus on fuelling collaboration and visionary leadership
  • Foster a team culture that creates highly effective teams who delight clients with great service and media results
  • Build the most effective and efficient teams to ensure client media performance and high TRR scores
  • Support all agencies when relevant concerns, issues, or opportunities arise related to the practice

  • Education and Experience

  • 7 years in eCommerce, SEO & SEM and Paid Social
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing (or comparable work experience)
  • Expereince using eCommerce media Amazon, Criteo, A9 Algorithm & eContent optimization
  • 5+ years previous experience in a leadership role with direct reports and people management responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a P&L or line of business
