Stacks,based in Edmonton, is looking for a new Front-end Web Designer / Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with theart of programming.

Stacks, a division of EBSCO InformationServices, is a turnkey, responsive web platform with plug and playintegrations and mobile apps connected in real time.

The Stacksproduct empowers librarians to create world class libraryexperiences by bringing local content, catalogs, and electronicresourcestogether.

Responsibilities :

  • Helpshape the vision for Stacks onlinecontent,
  • Translation of the UI / UX designprototypes to actual code that will produce visual elements of theapplication.
  • Code fromspecifications drawn up by senior software and applicationdevelopers
  • Assist senior software applicationdevelopers by analyzing user needs and designing softwaresolutions.
  • Requiredskills :

  • Degreein graphic design / web development orsimilar
  • 1-3 years of development experienceusing HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • 1-3 yearsdesigning / developing consumer facingwebsites
  • PreferredSkills :

  • Experincein PHP and Drupal
  • Experiencedesigning / developing responsivewebsites.
  • Excellent communicationsskills
  • Experience working in an agile softwaredevelopmentenvironment.
