Position Overview :
This role is responsible for developing best practices and regional strategies in a newly developed Sourcing CoE (Centre of Excellence) with the following categories;
IT, Claims & Indirect services to meet RSA’s needs. The incumbent in this role oversees and ensure governance to compliance requirements based off regional Third Party Policy and Global Sourcing Policy.
Oversees contracts activity in order to ensure compliance with TPCP, and other applicable Compliance & Risk Frameworks, regulations, initiatives, directives, and policies and procedures.

What you will achieve in this role
Day to day management of regulatory risk and compliance policy requirements for RSA Canada by :
Expert knowledge of the Regulatory Compliance Policy and local policies applicable to RSA Canada operations;
Sound understanding of federal and provincial regulatory requirements regarding all RSA Canada operations and overall comprehension of the Canadian insurance regulatory landscape;
Support business leaders in understanding and complying with applicable regulations;
Implementation of the Regulatory Compliance Management framework across RSA Canada;
Support development and implementation of annual risk-based monitoring plan;
Participate in business initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance is considered in projects / operations;
Actively monitor regulatory compliance risks across all regions and communicate / escalate appropriately;
Monitoring and tracking of legislative changes through Legislative Tracker, including assignment and follow up with appropriate business owners
What you bring to this role
5+ years experience in the insurance industry with sound knowledge of regulatory requirements
Post Secondary Degree or Diploma in business or accounting or law or equivalent experience in managing regulatory compliance frameworks
Proficient user of MS Office, including Excel
Strong analytical, interpersonal and problem solving skills
Strategic Sourcing and Negotiation skills
Strong Project Management skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines and can handle multiple priorities
