About the role

The Procurement Governance Advisor will have the primary responsibility of performing vendor management activities and contract / governance administration tasks in line with the IFC's procurement policy.

This role acts as a central point of contact for all procurement requests requiring third-party assessment in the application and monitoring of internal controls, governance and procedures leading to satisfactory compliance of contract terms and conditions.

Furthermore, they participate in the documentation and implementation of action plans to manage identified risks, as well as necessary communication to the teams and committees that manage risks.

He / She would require to actively participates in the management of the governance of the procurement process, including the development of procedures related to the risks raised by the functional experts.

What you'll do here :

  • Act as a liaison with internal / external customers at all levels of management and as a resource to support resolution of complex business issues requiring a balance of assertiveness, tact, business acumen and diplomacy.
  • Actively manage acquisition plans / progress, issues, risks, quality and deliver acquisition project.
  • Coordinate, where applicable, the day-to-day duties of procurement governance projects administration on a domestic, regional, and global basis across multiple functions, divisions and geographic locations.
  • Ensure proactive and effective communication at various levels and manage expectations.
  • Monitor and report periodically on the progress of the acquisition governance activities and / or any issues in a timely manner.
  • Participate in business reviews with stakeholders as requested or required and assist in establishing corrective action plan, if necessary.

  • Provide support to Analyst colleagues to manage and present supplier data, support Procurement colleagues with analysis of third parties’ performance
  • Provides high level advice to stakeholders through the contract centralize repository system of procurement on issues at various stages in a contract lifecycle from purchasing to contract signatures
  • Ensure working knowledge of the existing policies affecting the governance process and showcase an ability to adapt to revisions in the same and suggesting resultant improvement in the governance process.
  • Proactively promote and develop best practice around such change and ensure consistency in approach within the team and outside.

  • Manage cross-functional relationships and promote understanding of the risks by business unit to drive compliance which in turn requires an in-depth understanding of tools and processes developed to assess such risks.
  • Actively participates in the review and continuous improvement of procurement processes and procedures.
  • Provides support to team members and encourages strong communication, information sharing, teamwork and a positive culture.
  • Qualifications

    What you bring to the table :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, finance, professional designation such as CPP considered an asset, or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of strategic sourcing principles and P2P processes along with the ability to apply this knowledge to execute projects and optimize strategies.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Strong excel and analytical skills in critical thinking, decision making, problem solving, and attention to detail.
