The Practice Manager role is a pivotal position in the management team within Professional Services. The Practice Manager directly leads a team of consultants and ensures successful project delivery of the company’s product.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Own a portfolio of customers and active projects, ensuring project resources deliver a world class customer experience throughout the services delivery
Support the project teams by mitigating risks & handling escalations, plus ensuring project activities are delivered on time, on budget, and meet the customers’ success criteria
Manage, coach and grow a team of 5-8 consultants through 1-on-1 guidance and providing regular feedback that will help them succeed
Expand the footprint at existing customers by identifying and scoping out new services projects
Lead and / or contribute to departmental initiatives that will help us scale the company by becoming more efficient and continually improving the customer experience
Be accountable for the financial management and administration of all owned projects, ensuring change orders are created and contracted and that budget guidelines are being met.
On occasion, actively participate in project activities including on-site discovery sessions, project status calls, and project resource planning and scheduling.
DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?
Two or more (2+) years of experience managing people within the Software industry
Six or more (6+) years of experience delivering client services
Strong communication skills across all levels of an organization
Ability to manage competing priorities and move quickly in a fast-paced environment
NICE TO HAVE
Post-secondary education in Engineering, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline and / or equivalent experience
Financial related designation such as CPA, CFA or MBA
Knowledge of financial processes including applications such as budgeting, forecasting, financial consolidations, month-
end close processes, and general reporting
