Job Purpose

This newly created role is part of the global Service Provider team, which has been formed to better serve our larger customers by having focused customer-facing teams.

This will enable Genesys to strategically address our clients’ outcomes, find mutual opportunities for growth in the markets, and co-create to build new innovative solutions that will all add value to our clients.

What This Role Is

The Account Executive is a consultative sales professional, responsible for driving revenue growth and bringing in net new business from a named service provider-client or a group of service provider clients.

In this role, you will help to solve the business needs of the customers with Genesys solutions, both when selling to the SP and selling with and through the SP.

You will be responsible for coordinating resources and managing the sales campaign across the entire opportunity pipeline.

Our SP clients operate across many geographies, and some are global in nature, therefore you will support Genesys growth with your colleagues across all geographical regions.

Some Details About What You’ll Do

  • Identify customer needs and outcomes and effectively position Genesys solutions to address their needs
  • Understand your customers, partners, and the joint opportunities that bring to innovate and co-create together for mutual success
  • Manage your Genesys account through accurate quarterly forecasting, account resource coordination, account strategy, and planning
  • Develop and maintain competitive knowledge of industries and products
  • Collaborate with peers and management to continually improve the customer journey
  • Negotiate and close sales campaigns
  • Provide feedback to Genesys on the future roadmaps that our SP clients require
  • Build and expand relationships with all your customer personas from the C-suite down

  • Minimum Requirements

  • Demonstrable business-to-business experience with a track record of success in complex and consultative sales environments
  • Display customer-centricity in your approach
  • Proven record of meeting / exceeding established goals
  • Understand and exhibit a growth mindset
  • Be able to communicate with humility and authenticity
  • Know when to ask for help and be prepared to offer it when you see others need it
  • Preferred Skills

  • Have worked in a Service Provider environment and understand their drivers and DNA
  • Enterprise software or contact center industry experience
  • Cloud or SaaS based software sales
