Job Description The procurement specialist for Indirect Procurement is responsible for supporting the Indirect Procurement Manager in the sourcing of indirect goods and services for Wolseley Canada.

This person works together with the manager in the sourcing strategy development, tactics and key activities for the indirect category (i.

e. cellphones, gas cards, company p-card, travel card, etc.). This position is responsible for leading supplier relationship development, including monitoring performance versus expectations.

Must Have In-depth Knowledge Of The procurement specialist will bring procurement knowledge and skills with best practices as well as knowledge with the market and industries to help drive cost savings initiatives for the company.

This person will support the indirect procurement manager with the overall cost savings initiatives. This person will be tasked to build and lead supplier relationship strategy for any assigned initiatives, ensuring proper commercial treatment of suppliers by reinforcing policy, ethics and our strategic approach with suppliers and with key internal business partners.

This role will need to understand Procurement Systems and Processes to ensure proper procurement transactions are followed.

Engage and collaborate with key internal stakeholders to deliver best practices and accelerated results. Responsibilities Include Provide day-to-day tactical support as well as be the key point of contact for inquires for indirect programs from the field.

Drive cost focused strategy for Indirect spend area Contribute and lead execution of sourcing plans and strategies to deliver ongoing cost savings targets Constructing governance with policy and process updates Ensuring compliance with updated policies Build supplier relationship program for the relative markets to deliver significant value for the company Ensure company purchases in the spend pool comply with company internal controls requirements Build strong relationships with our internal business stakeholders in the indirect category.

Ensures proper stewardship for Procurement Transactions in the Indirect Category. Ensure that our Wolseley account information are updated with our national program providers.

Develop strong vendor relationships as part of our strategic sourcing. Maintain vendor KPIs. Qualifications Include Bachelor’s degree (preferably in business, supply chain or engineering). Minimum 1-3 years’ procurement experience, preferably in indirect spend areas.
