As the Operations Support Coordinator, you will be the operational subject matter expert and will engage in the different stages of projects.
You will use your expertise to :
Participate in the study of project alternatives, asset selection and evaluation of risk
Support the development of budgets and schedules relating to operational activities
Participate and evaluate design basis engineering including model reviews, risk reviews, field walk downs and hazard assessments
Review engineering and construction work packages and attend weekly meetings during front end engineering to provide operational input
Develop and implement the transition plan from Construction to Commissioning and Start Up (C&SU) and from C&SU to Operations
Develop and update operations supporting documentations such as Operating / Maintenance Procedures, Safe Work Practices, Commissioning Procedures, Training Materials and Hazardous Energy Isolations
Ready the facility for safe and effective commissioning including start-up
Identify and implement organizational plans including staffing, facilities, and support equipment
Support the development of asset management strategies including verifying and procurement of spare parts
Organize vendor support requirements for start-up, training, and on-going support
Work with process engineering to develop and complete performance test plans

Must-haves (minimum requirements) :
At least seven years of experience in Oil Sands operations
A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
Familiarity with plant operations and tailings assets
Strong collaboration skills that enables you to build strong, positive relationships with diverse groups
A continuous improvement mindset and are able to seek greater knowledge and understanding of the systems, process and hazards in the workplace
Alignment with our values
Preference for :
Technical diploma, Power Engineering or Chemical Engineer certification
Previous leadership experience
Technical writing ability
Familiarity with Tailings pumping systems
Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other important information :
You will work out of our Base Plant Mine in Fort McMurray, Alberta
Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory.
