Inside Business Development Manager

Job Summary :

This Inside Business Devleopment Manager will build and maintain solid relationships with outside BDM team, Independent Repair Facilities (IRF’s) and dealerships in their territory to drive wholesale mechanical parts sales.

The Inside Business Development Manager is a non-exempt role

Essential Functions :

  • Achieve and maintain subject matter expert status on client’s products
  • Develop and maintain relationships with outside BDM team, Independent Repair Facilities, client field teams and dealership personnel to maximize results
  • Work closely with client’s field teams and wholesale parts dealerships to increase sales of wholesale light repair and maintenance parts
  • Call potential customers to access opportunity, uncover objections, increase brand awareness, facilitate Outside BDM / dealership / IRF relationships, problem solve
  • Utilize CRM tool to effectively manage time to produce the best ROI
  • Escalate any IRF issues or concern to Program Director and outside BDM team
  • Conquest the IRF’s not presently splitting business and those not utilizing Client’s products
  • Maintain and create account development business plans
  • Provide requested feedback to Program Director and client, regarding competitive products, pricing, and any additional pertinent information
  • Provide assistance with organizing outside BDM sales blitzes
  • Utilize CRM tool to record activities, action plans, as well as competitive and market information
  • Utilize CRM tool to effectively manage time to produce the best ROI
  • Constantly evaluate performance vs. expectations
  • Perform as a team player with shared goals and responsibilities
  • Requisite Abilities and / or Skills :

  • Consultative phone sales experience with demonstrated record of success desired.
  • Results oriented professional who strives to exceed expectations.
  • Desire to thrive in a high energy, quota driven and evolving environment.
  • Strong, persuasive verbal communication and problem solving skills.
  • Intelectual curioisity, ability and desire to continuously learn and improve on relevant technical concepts fo rmore effective communication with a technical buyer
  • Energetic and positive attitude
  • Willingness to adhere to activity and reporting requirements.
  • Ability to multi task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities, responsibilities and business needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office,, internet research and web based presentation skills.
  • Supervisory or Management Responsibility / Decision Making Level :

  • Functions as a solid team player and work closely with team members, field sales, and customer care to create a superior customer experience.
  • Works with manager to ensure a consistent and effective customer experience, appropriate transaction processing, high customer satisfaction and service levels.
  • Takes independent action implement new ideas or potential solutions without prompting; does not wait for others to act or to request action.
  • Seeks opportunities to go above and beyond job requirements to achieve stated goals and objectives.
  • Minimum Education and / or Experience :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent sales experience is required.
  • Previous inside / outside consultative sales experience with a record of success sales or sales support required.
  • Additional Job Requirements :

  • Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged sitting.
  • Ability to make a minimum of 30 calls a day
  • Performs additional job duties as assigned.
  • Some overnight travel may be required
