Reports to : GM- Maintenance and Engineering
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
Plan, organize and coordinate purchasing activities related to all company assets.
Prepare proper purchasing plans and develop purchasing policies and procedures, as required.
Develop strong relationships with internal and external keyholders, suppliers, and continually monitor preferred vendors and parts available in stores.
Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other information to determine reasonable prices, control purchasing budgets to reduce costs
Evaluate proposals and negotiate with suppliers for the price, quality, speed of delivery of their products, and after-sales customer support
Manage purchasing contracts with current and new suppliers
Completion of spare part identification and purchases for all equipment and plant assets.
Creating, updating and maintaining BOMs in CMMS for equipment preventative maintenance.
Ordering, receiving parts and equipment for the maintenance department
Maintaining maintenance parts stores in an organized manner, conduct quarterly inventory counts and critical parts availability reports.
Experiment and Qualifications :
Degree or college diploma in a technical field, Red Seal Tradesman Certificate, procurement or logistics would be a valuable asset.
Good sound understanding of industrial manufacturing processes, machine parts and components (Electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic etc.)
At least 3- 5 years of work experience in the industrial / food manufacturing environment
Knowledge of general purchasing policies, systems, and procedures
Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular), maintenance CMMS
Excellent interpersonal, negotiating, analytical and solid decision-making skills
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
