Responsibilities :

  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Automate operational tasks like server and application monitoring, configuration changes, additions and deployments.
  • Provide assistance to the developer team for any cloud infrastructure related deployments and work towards the devops practice of merging the infrastructure automation with the application deployment.
  • Support the current private cloud infrastructure.
  • Provide 1st and 2nd Level Support for iVedha’s customers.
  • Be a part of a cloud-first strategy to the current and future infrastructure by collaborating, contributing to ivedha’s continuous cloud journey.
  • From time to time be able to participate in our monthly meet up events.
  • Secondary tasks is to be a part of the on-going contribution to our open source initiatives.
  • Desired Skills

  • Understanding of cloud platform such as OpenStack, CloudStack.
  • Understanding of Public Cloud Providers such as AWS, Google, Azure, RackSpace.
  • Required Skills

  • 3+ years experience in a complex production environment
  • 3+ year experience with networking, strong hands-on experience with Juniper Solutions
  • 5+ year experience with Linux / Unix administration.
  • Strong understanding of concepts including : VPCs, Subnets, NAT, ACLs, Gateways, Interfaces, etc.
  • Strong understanding of storage concepts
  • Strong understanding of virtualization technologies
  • Experince with hypervisors such as KVM, XenServer
  • Experience with any monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zenoss
  • Knowledge of scripting and command line APIs and automation
  • Knowledge of any of automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef , Saltstack
  • Strong understanding of Operations and Support Structure
  • Basic knowledge of cloud infrastructure architecture
  • Bachelor’s degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science.
  • Hands-on technical, analytical, interpersonal skills required
  • Ability to work well with others, as well as independently. Attention to detail and strong documentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on projects to completion
  • Working Conditions

  • Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice.
  • No regular travel required.
