Alteo is looking for a Windows Sys Admin for a permanent position based in the South-Shore.

You will maintain and coordinate the networks of the company's customers, software and related computer equipment. You will oversee and optimize network connectivity and performance.

You will provide technical support while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities :

  • Ensures the installation, configuration, updating, and support of IT equipment (routers, switches, UPS, printers, servers, workstations, and computer software)
  • Provides problem solving services to network users
  • Maintains the smooth operation and stability of the network among customers
  • Provides quality customer service at all times
  • Designs, implements, and manages the strategies and deployments of customers' IT assets
  • Performs data backup and restore operations
  • Performs routine startups and shutdowns and maintains control records
  • Produces and maintains technical documentation in writing
  • Evaluates, recommends, and manages equipment purchases for clients
  • Plans the future needs of customer networks
  • Establishes and recommends policies for the use of the systems
  • Provides support to computer support technicians
  • Travels to customers to set up solutions, updates, or installations
  • Be on the lookout for business opportunities with clients and pass them on to the management of the company
  • Profile :

  • AEC / DEC in IT / Network Administration or equivalent
  • 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience installing, managing, and supporting networks, servers, and workstations
  • Ability to undertake alone the design, implementation, and administration of networks
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows Server 2003 / 2008 / 2012 / 2016 operating systems
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows XP / 7 / 10 operating systems
  • Advanced skills in networking (pfSense)
  • Knowledge of VMWare virtualization technologies
  • Knowledge in backup technologies (Veeam)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 / 2013 / 2016 / Office 365
  • Knowledge of Remote Desktop Services technology
  • Self-taught, autonomous, and proactive in dealing with technologies
  • Ability to work in a team and to seek team solutions
  • Excellent customer service skills and communication by phone or in person with clients
  • Rigor and concern for a job well done
  • Interest in new technologies
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems by communicating effectively with highly developed customers
  • Has a car and a valid driver's license
  • Bilingualism (French is mandatory, intermediate English)
