Eligibility forregistration with the College of Audiologists and Speech LanguagePathologists of Ontario(CASLPO);
Working knowledge ofhospital procedures and policies such as Code of Ethics andOccupational Health andSafety;
Experience workingwith audiology specific software such as hearing aid programmingsoftware;
Ability toadminister and interpret audiology diagnostic tests andtroubleshoot audiologyequipment;
Excellent writtenand verbal communicationskills;
Superior judgement,problem solving skills andinitiative;
Eligibleto work in Canada;
Proficiencyin English and French - oral expression (advanced level) andcomprehension (advancedlevel).
Languageproficiency requirements are based on the nature of the positionand the level of interaction with French- and English-speakingclients.
Doctorof Audiology degree -AuD;
Memberof OSLA and SAC;
Skills to properlyassess and treat a wide variety of patients with various degreesand types of hearing loss;
Abilityto perform and interpret vestibular function testing includingVideonystagmography (VNG), video head impulse testing (vHIT), VEMPand ECochG;
Interest in evaluating,treating, and counselling patients with vestibulardisorders;
Experience and interestin participating in teaching and research into vestibulardisorders.
