JLL is currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Associate Project Manager to provide reliable, timely, and professional support to the Calgary and larger Western Canada Project Team, assisting with the day to day project management activities.

The position entails working with a diverse group of internal and external Stakeholders at all levels of the organization, and the individual will require the independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload in a fast-paced environment.

This role provides a wide variety of support services to the PDS Markets in the form of program management, project coordination, and general business operations.

The successful candidate will be detail oriented with strong organizational skills and a team-first attitude.


  • Primary focus is on the specific needs of a program, project, client, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Lead development of program / project best-practices, playbooks, and act in a Program Management capacity for delivery of services on key client accounts
  • Liaise directly with client representatives on regular meetings and provide program or specific project updates
  • Proactive focus on meeting client and program / project requirements in a timely and cost effective manner
  • Contract and program / project set-up
  • Develop custom internal processes for individual client accounts
  • Support project teams on multiple programs, projects, and consulting engagements
  • Proactively coordinate project related issues on accounts or assignments
  • Act as a Controls Manager responsible for cost, schedule, and quality of deliverables
  • Document control and maintain accurate and consistent files for due diligence and financials
  • Become an expert user of JLLs project management platform, Clarizen.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of all other PDS technology as required for assigned projects
  • Identify / address areas of concern regarding potential program / project risks, logistical issues, budget and scope
  • Conduct and document various program / project meetings
  • Coordinate the activities of sub-consultants
  • Interact and negotiate with contractors and subcontractors
  • Prepare / update project status reports, process invoices, update tracking reports,
  • Review regional financials and support leadership with issue analysis and resolution strategies
  • Coordination with internal finance team on billing and invoice processes
  • Reviewing and processing Independent Contractor invoices
  • Coordinating the Accounts Receivable process with Project Managers
  • Monitoring time sheet input by PDS staff
  • Ensuring completeness and accuracy of the close out of projects
  • Ensuring appropriate coding and processing of disbursements for project related costs
  • Participate in operations meetings and discuss continuous process improvement strategies
  • Comply with all JLL policies and procedures, including but not limited to ethics and business practice
  • Support Executives with periodic admin duties related to operations, projects, or business development
  • Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities that may be assigned

  • Post-secondary education in Project Management, Building Sciences, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or Real Estate is preferred
  • PMP designation preferred or ability to obtain in near future based on education and work experience
  • Experience in Owner's Representative Project Management preferred. Other consulting experience an asset.
  • Must have a basic understanding of technical requirements for business operations in a consultancy
  • Must have 5+ years of relevant work experience, or combination of relevant work experience and education
  • Project Management, architectural / engineering, or construction industry experience is required
  • Ability to understand all aspects of construction projects including, but not limited to Budgeting, and Scheduling in order to fully understand project implications based on minimal conceptual information
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to successfully communicate with project stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Able to adapt and prioritize, meeting deadlines, in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility with work hours and travel as needed
  • Operates with a sense of urgency, quickly responding to Stakeholders
  • Professional yet personable demeanor
  • Demonstrated leadership, responsiveness, and accountability
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Proactive and takes initiative
  • Able to maintain confidentiality, utilize judgment, and work with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated proficiency with all applicable software packages including but not limited to MS Windows; MS Office, including MS Project, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint;
  • Adobe Professional, X, or Standard
