AEROSPACE SHEET METAL TECH / ASSEMBLER (Winnipeg, Manitoba)

WHAT YOU WILL DO :
Perform sheet metal assembly and inspection of airplane components
Manufacture products according to production specifications and schedules; ensuring targets and quality standards are met
Verify work to ensure a defect-free part before presenting to quality control
Operate pneumatic tools (drills, rivet gun) in the assembly and disassembly of large heavy steel structures, and fixtures
Safely work in a team environment rigging, lifting, and transporting large parts and equipment
Other duties as required
MUST HAVES :
High school diploma / GED or equivalent required
Completed Aerospace program through Red River / Tec Voc or equivalent
Minimum 1-year experience of mechanical assembly experience in the aviation sector
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints
Preference in candidates that have taken a course in "Blueprint Reading and Interpreting Engineering Drawings"
Basic general tool experience and knowledge (hand tools, tape measures, calipers, screwdrivers, saws, etc.)
Familiar in using / reading measuring tools such as micrometers, height gauge, etc.
Experience in manufacturing, industrial or labor position
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :
$23.00 per hour (depending on experience)
7 : 00 a.m. to 3 : 30 p.m., days
