Brandt is currently seeking a Territory Manager located in Eastern Canada. This position, focused on the North American railroad industry, (Class 1, Contractors, Short Lines and Industrial), requires a candidate with a solid technical sales background and a demonstrated capability of establishing and growing customer relationships.

Key objectives for this role are to maximize sales, market share and profitability in the designated geographic region.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage customer relationships
  • Responsible for the commercial interface with customers
  • Development and maintenance of sales action plans and customer contact schedules
  • Prepare and maintain customer activity reports, including closing, follow-up and prospects
  • Establish sales and gross margin targets with the Sales Director
  • Work collaboratively with the Sales Director to develop the business strategy for the territory
  • Prepare technical and commercial presentations to present to customers
  • Coordinate with Brandt Application Engineers and the Engineering, Estimating and Manufacturing teams to prepare proposals and follow-up on open quotations
  • Identify and resolve customer concerns with the support of the Customer Service team
  • Represent Brandt at industry trade shows and conventions
  • Required travel for this position can be up to 75% of the work schedule
  • Required Skills

  • Sales / business experience is required, with strong customer service skills
  • Previous experience in the NA railroad industry is an asset
  • Aggressive team player, self-starter and goal oriented
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • A valid passport and driver’s license are requiredActual Sales and Gross Margin versus targets
