  • Assisting in the oversight and management of all plant operations;
  • Ensuring cooperation and communication between departments to ensure efficient operations without disruption;
  • Assisting in the oversight of the lab and its coordination with Technical Support and operations;
  • Ensuring effective and timely movement & unloading of trucks arriving at the facility;
  • Identifying operational inefficiencies and / or difficulties through the collection and analysis of operational data;
  • Assisting in the assessment and development of programs to correct operational inefficiencies / difficulties;
  • Observing and documenting process performance issues.
  • Develop alternative SOPs to optimize performance and then implement those changes;
  • Planning and scheduling of work for all operations;
  • Daily supervision of all facility operation employees;
  • Assisting customer service teams to address scheduling demands and process / inventory capacity;
  • Coordinating outbound transportation between company facilities and 3rd party waste disposal destinations;
  • Assisting staff to improve technical knowledge and capabilities;
  • Overseeing the appropriate inspection and maintenance of equipment / machinery as identified by Company Policy / SOPs and manufacturer recommendations;
  • Assisting with the development, implementation, and maintenance of programs and procedures for packaging, treatment, storage, transportation, and disposal of wastes including hazardous, non-
  • hazardous, liquid and other chemical / special waste;
  • Supporting and ensuring all H&S policies and procedures are adhered to by management and staff;
  • Training & orientation of new employees;
  • Assisting in employee conflict / issue resolution;
  • Reporting and investigate all near misses / incidents / accidents resulting in personal injury and or property damage;
  • Assisting in implementation of any corrective action the result of incidents;
  • Obtaining and issuing Purchase Orders to vendors;
  • Assessing new vendors.
