Who we need
Reporting to the Project Lead, Online Engagement and Support, we need an E-Learning Specialist. Based in any provincial office, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to develop and implement e-learning programs and elements for people with lived experience (PWLE) of heart disease and stroke within the online support and engagement platform;
someone who wants to play a role in improving to encourage effective self-management of chronic disease and self-advocacy.

How you will make an impact every day. You will focus on :
Design and implement accessible e-learning Conducts environmental scans and needs assessments that identify key drivers and critical success factors for e-learning for different PWLECollaborate with the platform development team and subject matter experts to design e-learning programs and other e-learning content, including seamlessly integrating e-learning with other existing digital contentProvides expertise in online instructional design, including research and input on the appropriate technical specifications and technology, infrastructure, and opportunities for evaluation of e-learning.
Ensures the development of accessible, relevant products by incorporating WCAG and accessibility standards and solutions, as well as continual user testing for validation and feedback.
Create standardized e-learning templates and resourcesCreates widely applicable e-learning resources, processes, instructional templates, and standardized documentation Designs, develops, monitors and manages multiple e-learning elements at one timeTracks and monitors e-learning processes and offerings for continuous quality improvement
Collaborate and mentor staff for greater internal cooperation and capacityCollaborate and mentor internal teams on learning principles and e-learning tools to increase internal capacity and ensure a consistent approach to e-learning across the organizationKeeps abreast of e-learning scientific research and professional development to ensure the use of an evidenced-informed approach to the design and development of e-learning
Promotes and communicates e-learning offerings Develops and implements a plan for promoting e-learning offerings to staff, PWLE and other users Develops and advises on communication and marketing regarding e-learning programs and elements
What you bring
The education. You have a post-secondary degree in adult education, learning design, psychology, neuroscience, health, or a related field, with specialization or certification in learning / e-learning.
The experience. You have 5 years of related work experience with a minimum 2 years of online instructional design (e-learning) experience
The exposure. You have knowledge of e-learning design principles, techniques to assess learning needs, and program evaluation methods to develop performance measures and report on program outcomes
The technical skills. You are comfortable with e-learning authoring tools (Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline and / or Camtasia), learning management systems (), SCORM / xAPI, Sitecore, SharePoint, Blackbaud CRM, and other e-learning and project management tools needed to support successful project delivery
The communication and relationship building skills. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills needed to work with internal and external stakeholders
The analytical skills . You are a quick learner with solid project management skills and the ability to multitask effectively with multiple stakeholders.
