Nature & Scope :
All Child Care Teachers report to the Child Care Centre Supervisor directly.
Incumbents must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings and late afternoons. Hours of work may fluctuate to meet the needs of the centre.
Incumbents must have excellent interpersonal skills and an understanding and appreciation for the delivery of high quality child care services.
All YMCA Child Care Teachers are required to provide professional, high quality child care programming in YMCA centres licensed for preschool, toddler and infant aged children.
Child Care Supply Teachers are responsible for the direct program delivery within the established standards of the YMCA Child Behaviour Guidelines and the Day Nurseries Act / Child Care and Early Years Act.
