Key Responsibilties

  • Assist with all required reports and documentation as needed
  • Attend safety / toolbox meetings
  • Participate in drills, inspections, and all other site-related duties as assigned
  • Maintain standards of practice consistent with the provincial governing regulatory body
  • Comply with International SOS Policies and Procedures
  • Ensure that patients are managed in a professional and friendly manner
  • Ensure equipment and transport vehicles are ready 24 / 7 to undertake all medical retrieval services
  • Participate in emergency response services as required
  • Participate in ongoing continuing medical education provided by International SOS
  • Operate within boundaries of the provincial licences of the incumbent
  • Assist with the internal training program on site by preparing training sessions as requested
  • Any other duties that may be requested from time to time by management
  • Ensure International SOS and the client are represented in a professional manner
  • Participate in required drills / skills testing
  • Required Skills & Knowledge

  • Provincial certification from the governing regulatory body
  • NFPA 1001 level 1 & 2- Sealed
  • NFPA Approved 1006 Confined Space Rescue Technician-Sealed
  • NFPA 472 Operations- Sealed
  • NFPA 1002- Sealed
  • HCP CPR with AED
  • Hep B Vaccination Record
  • Drivers License
  • Defensive Driving
  • Fall Protection
  • Confined Space Entry Monitor
  • Company required eLearning
  • Site-specific requirements as indicated at hire date (i.e. orientation, physical, etc.)
  • Required Competencies

  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Attention to detail
  • Physical Abilities

  • Must be able to pass NFPA Firefighter Approved fit test
  • Occasionally lift 50-80 lbs
  • Must use hands for repetitive simple grasping,pushing,pulling and fine manipulation
  • Must be able to bend, squat and climb including the ability to ascend and descend ladders
  • English
  • Travel / Rotation Requirements
