As a senior business intelligence advisor, you help develop and use tools and methods to collect, compile, model and restore the organization’s physical and non-physical data to establish governance, help decisionmakers understand the big picture and inform decisions.

You lead development projects and strategic initiatives that are complex and innovative. Your initiatives require extensive knowledge of your specialty area.

You make recommendations on the planning and execution of operationally and conceptually complex projects and initiatives that require comprehensive analysis and understanding of the organization and line of business.

Coordination is critical, so you interact with stakeholders working in many other fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential.

You serve as specialist advisor and subject matter expert, as well as resource person and coach for decision-making bodies.

Additional responsibilities

  • Update the data related to indicators you are responsible for.
  • Help design dashboards.
  • Identify the data sources required to develop dashboards.
  • Understand the data and model them to ensure that they support all the different dashboard use cases.
  • Identify improvement opportunities for processing flow and data representation.
  • Manage requests from organizational sectors by analyzing them and making recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the business partners to identify opportunities, harness the results of analyses and as required, implement recommendations to support strategic objectives.
  • Ensure the proper interpretation of results with the people who consult them.
  • Promote decisions based on data and facts.

  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business intelligence, engineering, administration, mathematics and statistics or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience using data processing tools (SQL, SAS, Excel or other)
  • At least 2 years of experience in a business intelligence, strategic information, analysis or related environment
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required
